Strategic Planning

Strategic planning involves identifying, defining, and implementing a clear direction or strategy for your business. It requires deciding which actions to take and which ones to avoid. The process is grounded in a clear vision and aims to guide organisations towards development and progress. At Pinnacle Centre of Excellence, we specialise in developing strategic objectives to facilitate this journey. Once objectives are established, we map out the process and set specific goals, outlining the necessary steps to achieve them. We have extensive experience working with a wide range of providers, environments, and settings—whether they are experiencing growth or facing developmental challenges. Our approach is focused on understanding the importance of advancing beyond the current state, identifying growth opportunities, and developing strategies for organisational development, annual initiatives, and performance measurement tools to ensure progress stays on track.

Documentation

At Pinnacle Centre of Excellence, we understand the importance of quality care, best practices, and good governance, all supported by accurate recording, reporting systems, and processes. We believe that policies and procedures should be tailored to individual home service settings and environments, as each setting is unique and may not always provide the same or similar services. We offer templates that can be used to guide, shape, review, or develop individualised policies for home settings or environments. These templates are not policies themselves, but they assist in the development of good practices. We recognise the significant time required to research, compile, develop, and refine operational documents in our field. Therefore, we have created templates that serve as reflective tools to assist those starting, reviewing, or developing their policies and procedures. These templates are available for download on our online platform.

Consultancy

Pinnacle Centre of Excellence supports children's homes through every phase, including concept development, service design, registration, day-to-day operations, and ongoing development. Throughout these stages, we focus on effective planning, responsive actions, and creating opportunities to address challenges and support successes as they arise. Our consultancy services help homes identify their core values and promote a safe, contained culture. We assist with recruitment, training, team development, and the creation of necessary documents, systems, and processes. Additionally, we offer reflective practice to gather, organise, and analyse information, aiming for continual improvement and the highest quality of care. We understand that providing services can present challenges that may leave you feeling stuck. At Pinnacle Centre of Excellence, we excel in identifying these opportunities and collaborating with organisations to

deliver solution-focused responses. We help providers develop the right experiences, tools, and skills to apply on their journeys.

Full Induction Process

At Pinnacle, our induction programme has been designed to assist professionals in preparing to support children living in their homes. Our practical skills programme offers an extensive learning experience, covering areas that are core to the Homes for Children task, including the skills and knowledge required to provide safe, contained, and exceptional care. The learning topics and sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of children, young people, and home teams, ensuring the most effective and engaging experiences. We believe you will find our learning spaces both interesting and challenging, providing practical support for the children and young people we care for.

Bespoke Training Days

Pinnacle also provides bespoke training days. These sessions are designed for services that require flexibility and theme-focused learning opportunities. The training is offered at various national locations, enabling our partners to book individual spaces, modules, or topics within an open induction learning course, tailored to meet specific needs rather than committing to a full induction course. This option offers flexibility for providers whose smaller staff groups require learning, refresher training, or upskilling in specific areas. These learning spaces focus on particular skill sets or address specific areas for growth. Pinnacle’s tailored training sessions allow professionals to improve their expertise and enhance practice in line with training needs analysis and active workforce planning.

Learning Partnership

Providers can purchase training credits from Pinnacle Centre of Excellence, with one credit equating to one course that can be used by the individual company. This flexible approach allows providers to choose from our various learning topics as needed. Our partners can purchase as few as ten credits, ensuring continued access to learning and development opportunities. This provides access to high-quality training on demand, tailored to the evolving needs of children, young people, teams, and services. Due to the bulk-buy element, our courses work out cheaper for the company.
